The Policy, Planning, and Analytics directorate is responsible for providing federal leadership, management, and guidance on economic issues facing the Prairies. We drive, build, and enhance strategic partnerships with regional stakeholders and other federal government departments in order to advocate for policies and programs that support the region’s strategic initiatives. Our partners view PrairiesCan as the catalyst for helping to solve economic challenges. Our work often involves coordinating and collaborating with different teams and other government departments and organizations in order to advance regional economic development priorities and strategies.

Education:
Successful completion of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards or Public Service Commission approved alternatives, such as a combination of education, experience, and/or training
Experience:
Experience in providing administrative and office management services to management and staff such as: arranging meetings, preparing short reports/letters and minutes, monitoring budget expenditures, making travel arrangements, managing the calendar, receiving and directing telephone calls.

Education:
Completion of post-secondary training related to the provision of administrative services
Experience:
Experience in financial support services such as: assisting in budgeting, recording transactions, developing and seeking required approvals, reporting on expenditures/balances and providing advice.
Experience using Microsoft office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Experience inputting, extracting, compiling and processing data utilizing automated systems and software such as: CCM, CCM Mercury or CCM Plus or other electronic document tracking system.
Experience monitoring budget controls and preparing budget reports.
