Duties

Building Commissioning & Transition team integrates with project teams to provide hands-on experience and commissioning expertise in the transition of capital projects to Operations teams.

The Senior Maintenance Management Specialist is a resource within the Building Commissioning & Transition team responsible for providing commissioning advisory services to support project teams with modernization of science and parliamentary infrastructures. Here are examples of tasks to accomplish:
• Assist one or more project teams with the commissioning process
• Determine commissioning scope
• Identify commissioning activities and deliverables
• Identify O&M requirements
• Ensure Consultant’s and Contractor’s scope of work for commissioning services is well defined
• Review proposed functional performance testing procedures and witness testing
• Ensure delivery of training
• Review Commissioning Manual and O&M Manual

Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff three positions on an indeterminate basis with various language profiles. The positions are located in the National Capital Region.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures, security requirements, and/or linguistic requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) in the National Capital Region.

🎓EDUCATION

1) A post-secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relating to Building Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Architectural Systems, Controls Systems, Testing-Adjusting-Balancing or Construction Project Management.

Degree equivalency

💼EXPERIENCE

1) Minimum of 5 years of experience in building construction project management; or in building operation and maintenance; or in commissioning of new buildings; or in recommissioning of existing building.

2) English or French Essential

2) Project Management Certification. Example: Project Management Professional (PMP)
