**IMPORTANT FINANCIAL INFORMATION:
🚚 Successful candidates may be eligible for the reimbursement of relocation costs.
💲 Isolated Post Allowances (Northern Allowance) range from $16,808 to $52,017 which is based on if the employee has dependents or is occupying staff housing.
✈ Vacation Travel Assistance MAY be provided twice a year for each eligible member of the household.

The DFO Arctic Region was created to give greater voice to the Inuit, First Nations and Métis peoples, as well as residents of the North, in DFO policy and decision-making in the Arctic. Come be a part of an exciting and dedicated organization that:

The purpose of this process is to create a pool of candidates that will be used to staff position(s) within the Department of Fisheries and Oceans that are based in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.
This inventory of candidates may be used to staff similar term and/or permanent positions at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and other Departments and Agencies who have positions in Nunavut. CO-01 and CO-02:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience that is comparable to a degree from a recognized-post secondary institution.
***Equivalent experience: If you have on-the-job learning or other non-conventional training that you believe is equivalent to the requirement, put it forward for consideration. The manager may accept a combination of education, training and/or experience in a related field as an alternative to the education stated above.
BI-02 AND BI-03:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
BI-02:
Experience conducting literature review or research and analyzing information
ALL POSITIONS
Experience working on Arctic-related files
Experience drafting professional correspondence such as reports, letters, or briefing notes, etc
Experience implementing projects that involve various stakeholders or programs
Experience communicating complex information to technical and non-technical audiences orally and in writing
BI-03 and CO-02 POSITIONS:
Experience consulting or collaborating with industry stakeholders, Indigenous groups, non-governmental organizations, co-management groups, stakeholders or other levels of government
Experience analyzing **complex issues and providing strategic advice related to environment or resource management
**Complex means multifaceted, multi-dimensional and multi-client issues
Experience living or working in the Canadian Arctic
