Intent of the process

Candidates occupying a substantive position at the same group and level (EX-02) or equivalent may be considered first for a deployment or a secondment.

A pool of partially-qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various linguistic profiles and security requirements in regional offices within the Courts Administration Service across Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Significant* and recent** experience developing, implementing, managing and evaluating the delivery of programs or services in an operational environment.

Significant* and recent** experience in providing strategic analysis, advice and recommendations to senior management on operations, programs or initiatives delivery.

Significant* and recent** experience in the implementation of change strategies to enhance the operational performance.

Significant* and recent** experience in managing human resources.

Significant* and recent** experience in managing financial resources.

Definitions:
*Significant refers to the breadth and depth of experience and is defined as a combination of time spent doing the activity (at least three (3) years), as well as type (range, scope, and complexity) of work handled related to the experience criteria.

**Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience working in a judicial or quasi-judicial environment**.
** “Judicial or quasi-judicial environment” means a Board, Commission, Tribunal or Court (Federal, Provincial or Municipal).

Experience leading change and/or transformation initiatives/projects.

Experience in managing court or tribunal operations.

Experience in providing strategic and investment advice to senior management for the efficient and effective use of technology to support operations.

Understanding of the principles of judicial independence as they apply to the courts.

Knowledge of the Tax Court of Canada’s jurisdiction.

Knowledge of the Courts Administration Service’s mandate and priorities.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willing and able to travel.

Willing and able to work overtime on short notice.

Willing and able to work irregular hours which may include working evenings, nights and weekends.

Willing and able to work at the workplace.

Willing and able to do hybrid work and possess adequate broadband internet.
