• Develop and produce creative communication and marketing products of varying complexity and profile using electronic equipment and sophisticated software packages;
• Coordinate projects with departmental colleagues to ensure consistency in design and for internal production or with contractors for external production;
• Research and keep abreast of new techniques and practices related to graphic design technology and relevant software and provide advice on graphic design software needs, their potential use and benefit for the organization;

The intent of this process is to fill one (1) French Essential position in Valcartier, QC and one (1) English Essential position in Trenton, ON.
A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may also be established to fill current and future vacancies with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment in various locations within the Department of National Defence.

AED1. Successful completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of multimedia, web design or in field relevant to the position being staffed.

ASSET EXPERIENCE ⤵
AEX1. Experience with multimedia software, such as: Adobe InDesign, Adobe (Macromedia) Flash, Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects.
AEX2. Experience with printing processes and post-print color management.
AEX3. Experience in the operation or maintenance of photographic equipment such as video cameras, digital camera, and peripheral equipment such as light meters, lenses, umbrellas, and lights.
AEX4. Experience providing training.
AEX5. Experience in preparing estimates on material costs and getting quotes for materials or equipment repair/replacement.
AEX6. Experience in manufacturing processes (other than metal photo) such as, vinyl transfer printing, laminating and commercial printing.
AEX7. Experience with HTML, JavaScript and Style Sheets (CSS).
