Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) indeterminate position with a English or French essential language profile.

FUTURE NEEDS: This process may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar positions within Statistics Canada across Canada with English or French essential as the language profile and for various staffing tenures (indeterminate appointment or specified period appointment).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination** of education, training and/or experience.

**An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as having approximately 2 years of cumulative experience in a field related to the duties of the position

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:
EX1: Experience in a multimedia environment inclusive of video editing, broadcast configuration and setup ;
EX2: Experience in providing multimedia recommendations ensuring accessibility needs are met ;
EX3: Experience in client service ;
EX4: Experience in logistically* supporting meetings and presentations.
*Logistically can be defined as a combination of: ensuring the scheduling is correct; setting up the room; and setting up the IT configurations for a hybrid meeting inclusive of microphone placements and camera angles.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EXPERIENCES:
AEXP1: Experience in non-linear editing ;
AEXP2: Experience in a live Studio environment ;
AEXP3: Experience Live Broadcasting including managing various sources such as Simultaneous interpretation and Sign language and Broadcasting servers.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice ;
- On-site presence required ;
- Due to possible exposure to asbestos the employee must be willing and able to wear prescribed personal protective equipment when required, and maintain job related personal safety equipment throughout their time in this position is
a requirement ;
- Ability to attain the asbestos containing material certification (ACM level II certification) and maintain this certification through the time in the position ;
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.

R- Results: What was the result of the approach you took? Could you have done otherwise? Was the person you were dealing with satisfied? Did you achieve your goals?
