Manage the Official Language Interpretation Service that provides the Parliament of Canada and the Government of Canada with conference interpretation, supported by a group of professionals.
Participate in the creation of the vision and direction of the Service to Parliament and Interpretation, communicate it to employees and obtain their support.
Establish and apply quality and client service standards for the department they manage.
Implement Treasury Board decisions regarding the prioritization of interpretation services and full cost recovery for a portion of these services.
Manage human, financial and material resources.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients in Parliament and federal government departments and agencies that enable the ongoing assessment of client satisfaction and contribute to the Translation Bureau's objectives.
Design and implement, in conjunction with Client Services, marketing strategies applicable to various clients in order to ensure the organization's competitive position.
Manage a freelance budget, establish contracts and evaluate supplier performance.
Represent the Translation Bureau at strategic meetings and negotiations with clients and representatives of the Canadian language industry.
Manage the accreditation and directory of interpretation suppliers.
✨Translation Bureau ✨
Established in 1934, the Translation Bureau is a special operating agency of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). It supports the Government of Canada in its efforts to communicate with and serve Canadians in its two official languages, Indigenous languages, foreign languages as well as sign languages.
It offers translation, revision, editing, terminology, language advice, closed captioning, and interpretation services to federal departments and agencies and Parliament. The Translation Bureau also provides online tools and resources to Canadians through the Language Portal of Canada.
The Translation Bureau is the center of excellence in linguistic services for the Government of Canada. It also plays a leadership role in the various spheres of federal government activities and increasingly stands out in the Canadian languages industry as a leader in language technologies due to its innovative culture.

💼EXPERIENCE
-Experience in people management, coaching or mentoring
-Five years experience working in the field of linguistic services.*
*Linguistic services include interpretation, translation or terminology.

-Experience as an staff interpreter in with a national or multi-lateral organization
-One year of experience in people management
