The intent of this selection process is to staff one (1) bilingual (CCC/CCC) position located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions at Fisheries and Oceans Canada with various linguistic requirements and profiles, various tenures (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, secondment, or assignment), and for various conditions of employment.

Education
Ed1. Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a master's degree in library science or in library and information science, or graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a bachelor’s degree in library science or in library and information science for which another bachelor’s degree was a prerequisite.
Experience
E1. Experience in supervision and managing human resources (note 1).
E2. Experience in planning, organizing, managing and coordinating at least one of the following: (A) collection management including cataloguing/classification, collection development, collection preservation, (B) client services including reference, research or training.
Note: To demonstrate "in supervision and managing human resources", candidates must explain that they have experience in at least three (3) areas of responsibility related to human resource management: day-to-day directions; setting goals and objectives; determination of workloads; allocation of resources; development and implementation of training plans; performance management; disciplinary action; staffing; other related activities.
Operational Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel within Canada if required.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime if required.
