Salary, Allowances, and Benefits:
In addition to salary, you are entitled to an isolated posts allowance. This can range from $19,833 to $27,387 per year, depending on the number of dependants and the geographic location. You are also entitled to vacation travel allowance of approximately $1,000 once a year for you and each eligible dependant.
As a federal government employee, you will also receive a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan and health, dental and group insurance.
Workplace:
The successful candidate will be required to work at the workplace, Monday to Friday, to deliver in person services.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Application In-take for Registration under the Indian Act and the Secure Certificate of Indian Status Card.
• Responding to Public inquires about the application processes.
• Greeting and responding to clients at the office counter.
• Inputting data into multiple systems.
Governance and Band Administration is responsible for the delivery of programs and services to First Nation Individuals and First Nation Bands.
The workplace for the Membership Clerk position will be located at the Yellowknife Regional Office in Yellowknife, NT.
The successful candidate will be required to work at the workplace, Monday to Friday, to deliver in person services.
Client Services is 90% of the position.
Immediate need: One (1) full-time indeterminate position at Yellowknife, NT.
This process will be used to fill current vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities (Deployment, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Term or Indeterminate) in Northwest Territories only, with various security requirements (reliability or secret).

• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

• Experience in providing administrative support and services.
• Experience in responding to inquiries from the public.

Operational Requirements (may be requested, upon taking up the position):
• Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
• Ability to work in an open cubicle environment (this position is required in office for in person services).
If remote community work is required, the following will also apply:
• Willing and able to travel across Northwest Territories, including to remote First Nation communities, by various means of transportation (i.e. small aircraft, vehicle or boat), travelling in some adverse road and weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to lift up to 30lbs.
The following conditions must also be met on taking up the position and maintained throughout the employment:
• Reliability Security Clearance.
• Medical Clearance (as required under TBS Occupational Health Evaluation Standard).
