TRAVEL
Please note that in order to proceed with assessments, candidates may be required to travel to the closest assessment location (such as CGC Regional Offices or other assessment centres).
Travel cost for individuals who are not Federal Public Servants will not be covered.
Federal Public Servants’ travel will be covered in accordance with the National Joint Council’s Travel Directive.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar positions, at the same group and level, with various security requirements, various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment, acting, casual employment, part-time worker, assignment and secondment) and with various linguistic profiles.

EDUCATION
-Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Significant* experience providing strategic advice and recommendations on complex issues**, including preparing briefing materials, correspondence, reports and/or presentations for management at all levels;
- Significant* experience in developing and delivering presentations and/or training sessions;
- Experience supporting the development or improvements of business processes, procedures, or guidelines;
- Experience supervising employees;
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

EDUCATION
- A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university in business or public administration;
- Currently hold or working towards a valid Associate Protection Professional (APP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) from the American Society of Industrial Security;
- Currently hold or working towards a valid Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from the American Society of Industrial Security.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in supporting projects or activities in the areas of physical security services, security screening, security risk assessments, business continuity management, or security in contracts;
- Experience in delivering direct service to internal clients, such as manager’s, project managers, and staff, and to external clients, such as building tenants, other governmental departments, and industry visitors;
- Experience in analyzing, planning, and designing office space and accommodations using software such as AutoCAD;
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office Software SharePoint and Power BI.

- Availability and consent to work overtime and on call as required;
- Availability and consent to travel domestically and internationally as required;
- Availability and consent to work a minimum of 2-3 days a week at the CGC’s headquarters in Winnipeg, depending on the organization’s needs;
- Maintain a class 5 or G driver’s license for the duration of employment.
