The main tasks are:
➸ Participate in the removal of snow, water, ice (other atmospheric precipitation) and other contaminants (foreign equipment, FOD, etc.) from taxiways, runways, aprons and parking areas, public access roads, areas used for telecommunications and weather services, beacons, airfields, airport areas and stormwater drainage systems.
➸ Judge the condition of the surface of the runways.
➸ Apply products to melt ice and use other de-icing methods and materials.
➸ Remove substances that contaminate airport surfaces, such as dust and water.
➸ Repair paved and paved roads, shoulders and drainage facilities using sealants, concrete, hot asphalt, gravel and flow system components.
➸ Marking the pavement of runways, traffic areas, road aprons and vehicle parking.
➸ Participate in the improvement of the site, in order to avoid the proliferation of pests.
🚩 This selection process aims to fill an Airport Maintenance Specialist position for a determinate or indeterminate period.
The operations take place at Sept-Îles Airport (Quebec), located at 1000 Boulevard Laure E, Sept-Îles, QC G4R 4K2. Due to the operational nature of the position, remote work is not feasible. On-site presence is required for each shift.
This process is also intended to establish a pool of substantially or partially qualified candidates to meet our current and future needs and may be used to staff similar positions for which tenure may vary.

High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Experience as an operator on various maintenance equipment such as: snow blowers, front loaders, farm tractors or dump trucks acquired through paid employment.
