We are currently looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to fill the positions of Case Review Officer (AS-02) in the Prairies region. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all available and relevant information is on file for decision-makers.The Case Review Officer also ensures that timeframes and other requirements set out in policy and law are met with respect to conditional release decisions. This position requires good oral and written communication skills to prepare correspondence, respond to telephone inquiries, and to provide advice to decision-makers. This position work from the regional office in Edmonton or Saskatoon.

The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is a small independent administrative tribunal with an impactful mandate.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see note 1).
Notes:
1. Employer approved alternatives to a secondary diploma are;
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
Experience:
• Experience in providing advice to management or clients on the interpretation and analysis of legislation, regulation or policy framework;
• Experience in gathering and analyzing information;
• Experience in the quality control of documents, ensuring correctness as per policies or other formal requirements.
Education:
Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable
specialization in criminology, psychology, sociology or in a field relevant to the position.
Experience:
• Experience using the Offender Management System or the Integrated Decision System;
• Experience working in the criminal justice system.
