The immediate need is to staff indeterminately a position with the linguistic requirement of bilingual imperative BBB/BBB. A pool of candidates will be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (ie. Acting, specified period, indeterminate) with the following linguistic profile requirements: English Essential, BBB/BBB or CBC/CBC, within Global Affairs Canada.

EDUCATION:
• Successful completion of an undergraduate degree AND a graduate degree from recognized post-secondary institutions in which one of these degrees must have an acceptable specialization in Education.
EXPERIENCE:
• Significant* experience in providing advisory services in the development and implementation of government, Non-Government Organizations (NGO) or private sector education programs or projects within an international development context.
• Experience in providing technical input on education projects during all stages of the project cycle.
• Experience in briefing project teams and management on national or international education trends and issues.
* Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, related activities which are normally acquired over a minimum full-time period of five (5) years. The amount and the diversity of activities, as well as the autonomy level will also be taken into consideration.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of the new development programming approaches, global and multilateral policy commitments relevant to the education sector in international development.
• Knowledge of key education performance indicators relevant to planning development assistance for national education systems or sub-sectors in developing countries.
ABILITIES:
• Ability to identify and interpret complex information on education topics from a variety of sources.
• Ability to provide timely advice, work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work autonomously with little supervision.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION :
• A Masters in Education or Ph.D. in Education or Ed.D.
EXPERIENCE :
• Ten (10) years of experience in education programming.
• Experience working in education programming in a developing country
ABILITY :
• Ability to work in Spanish
