Candidates must clearly demonstrate with concrete examples, IN THE PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS, how they meet the education and experience factors listed in the essential qualifications. Only screening questionnaire will be used during pre-screening process. We may use resumes as a secondary source to validate the answers to the pre-screening questions. Candidates who fail to provide sufficient information will be eliminated from further consideration.
The position is required to work on site 5 days a week and will be responsible for shipping, receiving and procuring items for First Nation Nursing stations and hospitals on Reserve in Manitoba.
The warehouse operator may be asked to pick, pack, prepare material according to instructions or schedule, and securely seal material, equipment, and supplies in logical order for shipping to various hospital or nursing station locations. They must ensure all required documentation; bills of lading, packing lists, hazardous material placards, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and special material handing instructions are prepared and included with shipments and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation. They are responsible to receive material and equipment, distinguishing between material designated for moving inventory or direct to work order, and identify the correct storage location.

It will be expected for you to assess how Indigenous Peoples experience the delivery of government services on a day-to-day basis and identify ways to improve delivery that are holistic, community-based, and put the needs of the person first.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions in various locations with various tenures such as permanent specified term, acting, assignments/secondments, or deployments. It may also be used to staff identical or similar positions by other regions or federal departments across Canada.

EDUCATION:
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note 1:
The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in shipping and receiving.
• Recent* experience in transportation and handling of dangerous goods.
• Experience in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Outlook and Word.
*Recent is defined as within the last 2 years.
