This process will be used to establish a partially or fully qualified pool of candidates within the Department of National Defence (DND) which may be used to fill current and future vacancies at the AS-06 level or equivalent with employment tenures, language requirements, security requirements and work locations that may vary depending on the needs of the positions being staffed.

EDUCATION:
• Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in managing, or providing support to, multiple complex disability management situations.
• Experience in supervising a team.
• Experience in the workplace accommodation process for permanent and temporary accommodations.
• Experience in partnering with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience* in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management** on complex issues.
* Experience will be assessed in terms of the depth and breadth of activities, the complexity and diversity of work handled, as well as the level of autonomy demonstrated.
** Senior Management is defined as management levels ranging from Assistant Director to the Assistant Deputy Minister level or equivalent (i.e.: CEO, Vice-President, etc.) OR military equivalent.

ASSET EDUCATION:
• Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in Disability Management, Social Sciences, Health Science, or in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
• Education or training specific to best practices in disability management.
ASSET OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP)
• Member of the Canadian Society of Professionals in Disability Management (CSPDM)
• Any other professional certification or designation related to disability management.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in managing disability claims, worker’s compensation claims, or benefit management for physical or mental health.
• Experience in working in compensation within the Federal Public Service.
• Experience in working in a mixed civilian and military environment.
