Duties

As a Human Resources (HR) Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment alongside other HR Professionals.

In this role, you may be asked to:

✔ Draft advertisements and notifications to staff positions using the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS) (what you are looking at right now!)
✔ Draft and issue letters of offer
✔ Prepare and maintain assessment board reports in Excel to track the assessment results from selection processes
✔ Collaborate with the Human Resources Advisor to support the client’s staffing needs
✔ Complete data entries in a Human Resources Information Management System
✔ Liaise with clients to request documentation and information
✔ Draft email notifications
✔ And more!

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff a bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB) position, and anticipated upcoming vacancies with an English Essential language profile

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to fill positions at the same or equivalent group and level within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada or Indigenous Services Canada with varying tenures and various linguistic requirements and profiles.

Experience

• Experience in using a Human Resource Management System application, such as, but not limited to, Peoplesoft, MyGCHR or Human Management Capital, Human Resources Information System
• Experience in working in Human Resources in the Federal Public Service
• Experience in using a records management system such as SharePoint, GCdocs or Electronic Document Record Management System
• Experience in providing administrative support services in human resources
