The intention of this selection process is to fill four (4) indeterminate positions in the National Capital Region. A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to fill identical or similar positions, with various linguistic profiles or various tenures, within Public Services and Procurement Canada or within Shared Services Canada.

HOW TO APPLY?
Respond to the screening questions by demonstrating how you clearly meet all of the essential criteria and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. You must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE requirements listed in the essential qualifications section. The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties.
Your answers may also be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing. Your resume will be used as a secondary source of information to validate your experience. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE HOW YOU MEET THE SCREENING CRITERIA WILL NOT BE GIVEN FURTHER CONSIDERATION.
➨ EDUCATION:
Successful completion of secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
➨EXPERIENCE:
𝐄𝐗𝟏: Significant* experience in administering and interpreting the Access to Information Act and Privacy Act, at the federal, provincial or municipal level;
𝐄𝐗𝟐: Significant* experience in analyzing, researching and reviewing sensitive information, within the formalized access to information and privacy process, for the purpose of making disclosure recommendations based on the provision of the Access to Information Act and Privacy Act;
𝐄𝐗𝟑: Significant* experience in providing advice to managers relating to the application of the provisions of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act;
𝐄𝐗𝟒: Significant* experience in negotiating information disclosures with dissenting parties, such as requesters, departmental officials, managers, third parties, or investigators.
*Significant is defined as an experience acquired for a cumulative period of two (2) years or more.
➨ KNOWLEDGE:
𝟏: Knowledge of the Access to Information Act, Privacy Act and their regulations; and related Treasury Board Secretariat policies, directives, and guidelines.
➨ COMPETENCIES:

Clearly demonstrate how you meet each criteria (education and experience) by answering the online questions and provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought, in a maximum of 500 words per question.
Include when the example took place (month-year to month-year), background of each situation, what you did, how you did it, what your role was in the situation, and what was the outcome.
Focus on what you did. When referring to an experience achieved in the context of a team, set your role apart from the role(s) of others.
Résumés will be used as a secondary source to validate the qualifications described; comments such as "refer to my attached résumé" will not be accepted and may result in your application being rejected. Information provided on your described experience should be supported by your resume.
Lack of DETAILS may result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board may have insufficient information to determine whether you meet the qualifications.

A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates. Some assessments may be conducted remotely, including teleconference or videoconference assessments.
During the application or assessment process both cheating and plagiarism are considered forms of misconduct and are not permitted. Any person found cheating, including those who help others to cheat, may be subject to removal from the selection process.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
