At Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), we continue to renew the nation-to-nation, Inuit-Crown, government-to-government relationship between Canada and First Nations, Inuit and Métis; modernize Government of Canada structures to enable Indigenous peoples to build capacity and support their vision of self-determination; and lead the Government of Canada's work in the North.
CIRNAC executives lead in many unique areas and at times require certain expertise. As needs arise, we will be seeking candidates whose area of expertise align with the position to be staffed.

The process may be used to staff similar positions with Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada with various language requirements and profiles, and in various locations in Canada.
All federal organizations listed in the Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to staff similar positions in their organization.

Your résumé.
Do you have a graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience?
Experience providing senior level officials (Directors general and above) with briefings, strategic advice and recommendations on complex* and national issues.
Experience developing policy initiatives or programs in support of departmental key priorities.
Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with federal stakeholders, other government departments and/or Indigenous Organizations.
Experience in managing human** and financial*** resources.
NOTES :
*Complex is defined as including at least three (3) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, under tight deadlines, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting or having a major impact on the public service, or have potential for significant media coverage.
**Some examples of managing human resources may include: supervising staff, establishing a vision, priorities, work plans or establishing work objectives, conducting performance assessments and feedback, approving training, demonstration of experience in managing various service delivery and resources allocation frameworks. Applicants must also indicate the number of staff they have supervised.
*** Some examples of managing financial resources may include: full delegation for a budget, being responsible for financial planning, forecasting and reporting. Applicants must also indicate the size of the budget they managed directly.
