Assessment accommodation

Duties

The client services section represents a diverse group of expertise related to the acquisition, accommodations (i.e. space allocation and fit-up), and disposing of space at DFO facilities.

Projects will span the entire suite of services.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one AS-05 position in Winnipeg, Manitoba and then to establish a pool of candidates that could be used in the future to staff similar positions with different tenures (i.e. on a term, acting or an indeterminate basis) within the Ontario and Prairie Region.

Successful completion of approved post-secondary school education, certification, diploma or employer-approved alternatives or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with multidisciplinary stakeholders and teams.
Experience analyzing issues and providing strategic recommendations to clients and senior management.
Experience in consultation and liaison
Experience in the management of projects*

Clarification: All Experience criteria requires it be gained within the last 5 years, for a position or job with duration of no less than 6 months (consecutive service). *Projects includes contract values of more than $25,000 dollars.

Project Management Certification, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environment).

Experience developing project planning documentation
Experience delivering presentations
Experience leading (facilitating) client sessions and consolidating and analyzing
requirements.

Knowledge of the Policy on Framework for Office Accommodation and Accommodations Services, PWGSC (PSPC)

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Must recognize and abide by Departmental Code on Values and Ethics.
Must be willing and able to undertake On-call or Standby like functions, and respond in urgent, emergency situations, based upon contract provisions, and in recognition that various clients operate year round on a 24/7 basis.
Willingness to travel and work overtime, including travel to remote locations by various modes of transportation (e.g. small and large aircraft, all-terrain vehicles, boats, helicopter, etc.). Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license.
Willingness and ability to climb and work at heights in excess of 2.4m.
Willing and able to work in light to medium industrial facilities with associated offices, combination office and laboratory facilities and/or small buildings and adjacent to, or within a marine environment with exposure to noise, mechanical/electrical machinery, fuels/lubricants.
