The Special Accounts unit deals with the recovery process for the Agency as well as complex files and files requiring special attention such as files involving sale of shares, sale of assets or chronic arrears. This position is to provide financial/accounting, analytical and administrative support to the unit.
The duties for this position include:
• Preparing and organizing files and maintaining filing system.
• Preparing letters such as demand, remedy, compromise settlements, project amendments and other correspondence.
• Preparing various documents such as proof of claims to trustees and receivers, debt confirmations, legal memos, write offs, and other legal and/or sensitive documentation.
• Retrieving required information from the financial system and ensuring accurate balances and figures are provided for various documentation.
ACOA is gradually increasing access to our various offices. A combination of work from home and work in the traditional worksites is the current norm (hybrid work). There is an expectation for employees to attend the office at a minimum two days each week and possibly more when required.

This process will be used to staff one indeterminate position at ACOA in Moncton (New Brunswick). No pool of qualified candidates will be created as this is a unique position.

EDUCATION:
Completion of a post-secondary diploma in a field related to the position (e.g. Finance, Commerce, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics) or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience working with accounting principles, financial legislation and/or legal frameworks.
EX2: Experience in using financial systems and information management systems.
EX3: Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including retrieving and analyzing data, and producing reports.
