The Canadian Human Rights Commission is launching a compliance and enforcement program in support of Canada’s first Accessibility Commissioner’s mandate under the Accessible Canada Act and Accessible Canada Regulations.

Our Compliance and Enforcement team is committed to providing you with the tools, information and training to build your career, and achieve your goals and work objectives. You will play a critical role in conducting inspections to check if organizations are meeting their regulatory obligations, while creating positive relationships with regulated entities, promoting who we are, what we do and what information businesses need to know in order to stay in compliance. You will also have opportunities to contribute towards the continued improvement and evolution of our compliance and enforcement program.

Education
Successful completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized educational institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Note: Acceptable combination is defined as a secondary school diploma and at least two (2) years of experience performing duties related to the position.
Experience
• Experience preparing reports and/or regulatory analyses in order to provide recommendations and advice to management
• Experience in interpreting and applying acts, regulations, policies, procedures and/or guidelines
• Experience in conducting research and analysis
Asset experience
• Experience in conducting interviews through inspections, audits, investigations and/or other similar activities, to obtain information
• Experience providing service to clients
• Experience in data collection and data entry
• Experience in maintaining collaborative relationships with partners, interdepartmental, intergovernmental and/or other stakeholders
Asset knowledge
• Knowledge of accessibility and/or disability
• Knowledge of human rights

ASSESSMENT
• Candidates must meet all the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
