At the Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC), we foster a healthy, modern, diverse and inclusive workplace. We collaborate in a hybrid work environment. Apply to join our talented team!
Our IT Services are creating opportunities for dynamic people ready to positively impact and contribute to our mission: Build Tomorrow’s Public Service.
Like most IT organizations, we are at a turning point: Our legacy systems continue to support our business to provide services and value to our partners, departments, and Canadians. At the same time, we need to transform to better face future challenges in this digital age.
To name a few, we look towards continuing to upgrade our environments and systems such as using a new development stack, establishing our pipelines, and transitioning to the cloud, all this in a highly collaborative work environment.
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Team Leader and Technical Advisors to support our priorities. Your role will be at the center of our environment changes.
Did you know that Forbes magazine ranked the Public Service Commission as one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2021? Our organization has a large mandate: safeguarding a merit-based, non-partisan public sector. As such, we strive for innovation in the staffing system so that all Canadians can be better served by their government.
Our goal is to foster an organization that reflects Canada’s diversity. An inclusive Public Service Commission recognizes the value that our differences can bring to the workplace when they are leveraged. The organization ensures that its workplace is one where all staff can fully and meaningfully contribute.
The intent of the process is to staff one (1) Team Leader position and two (2) Technical Advisors on an indeterminate basis in the Gatineau region.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff future indeterminate and term vacancies with various language profiles and/or security requirements within the Public Service Commission. Other departments may use the pool with the approval of the PSC. By applying to this process, you consent to your personal application-related information being shared with other government departments interested in staffing similar positions.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has implemented its Hybrid Work Model. As of April 1, 2023, PSC employees are required to work from the office at least two days a week and have the option to telework the rest of the week, subject to operational requirements. On an exceptional basis, requests for full-time telework arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the employer's directives. We will therefore continue to rediscover the value of shared in-person experiences that are essential to cohesive, collaborative and high-performing organizations. Our work in person supports collaboration, team spirit, innovation and a culture of belonging. It helps us build trust and learn from each other.
