These positions require onsite work because the work cannot be performed efficiently or effectively offsite.
The Office Environment:

Training:
We provide extensive training and development to allow you to acquire comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Service Canada's programs and services. Training is provided either in person or virtually with subject matter experts or online, self-directed.

Duties include but are not limited to:
This is a high-volume client service environment providing clerical support in office and warehouse environments. You will receive, classify, and sort mail and client information. You will be required to maintain and update various databases and tracking systems. Physical effort will be required.
The intent of this process is to create a CR-03 pool of qualified candidates within Service Canada in Victoria BC.
This pool could also be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Employment and Social Development Canada in Victoria, BC.
A random selection of applications may be made. Selected applicants will be assessed and those who meet all the essential qualifications will be placed in the qualified pool(s). Subsequent random selections may be made from the remaining applications and assessments may be conducted at a later date.
HOW THIS INVENTORY WORKS:
• Your application will be active for 120 days. You will receive notice on your account 30 days before your application is about to expire. If you do not take action, your application will become inactive and no longer be considered. Should your application become inactive while the process is still open, you may select the link “update my inventory status” to reaffirm your interest.
• WAITING PERIOD FOR REASSESSMENT: The retest period for this assessment is 90 days from the date of results notification.

Education:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Note: You will be required to provide proof of education by providing a copy and/or showing the assessment team a copy of your High School Diploma or an official transcript (signed and dated) which clearly indicates the highest secondary school grade successfully completed. If you have completed post- secondary education, such as a degree or diploma, from a recognized post- secondary institution, then proof of completion may also be accepted as proof of education in lieu of a copy of your high school diploma. If the name on your education credentials is different from the name on your application, we will require proof that you are the same person.
Candidates with foreign educational credentials are required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency that meet the standards set by the Treasury Board of Canada for employment in the public core administration.
