Duties

In these roles you will provide administrative and/or financial support to various units within the Real Property branch. You will work with at least one of the many teams in this branch that offers diverse services to other Government departments.

Respond to the screening questions as directly prompted in the application by writing one or two paragraphs demonstrating how you meet each of the required experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

CR-04 and CR-05:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school OR an *acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

AS-01:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are: A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or *an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

*An acceptable combination is defined as training courses relevant to the position along with 2 years of work or volunteer experience relevant to the position.

You must be prepared to provide the original or a certified true copy of your educational credentials. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Experience in providing administrative or financial support (i.e. such as, but not limited to: tracking and verifying financial documents for invoices and expenditures) to managers or a team in an office work environment.
Experience in reconciling data from systems and identifying variances.

Experience in preparing and coordinating requests in a high volume environment.
Experience in providing administrative support services in Finance or Accounting.

CR-05 and AS-01:
Experience working in HR staffing in the federal public service.
Experience in using Human Resource Management Systems (i.e. MyGCHR, PeopleSoft, HRIS or other HR Data Management system).
Experience performing accounts payable or accounts receivable related tasks such as preparing purchase orders or contracts, budget tracking/forecasting, experience issuing and/or paying invoices.
Experience tracking and verifying financial documentation such as: contracts, invoices, expenditures, commitments or acquisition card purchases.
Experience using a financial management system ( such as SIGMA, SAP, Oracle, IFMS (Integrated Financial Management System)).
Experience arranging travel requests and processing expense claims.
Experience using a progress tracking system (such as JIRA, Trello, Asana).

ASSET ABILITIES

Ability to utilize intermediate Excel skills (e.g. use of formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
