Our Labour Relations Centre of Expertise is looking for individuals who are passionate about Labour Relations and who will not be afraid to challenge their knowledge and skills to resolve complex labour relations and human resources issues.

If you accept this job, you will be joining a close-knit team that currently provides advisory services to two departments, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). Both organizations work with Indigenous partners (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) to improve their social well-being and economic prosperity and to improve access to high quality services in areas such as health, education, social programs, emergency management and the environment. Intent of the process

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various tenures, various linguistic profile, location across Canada and/or security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

→ EDUCATION:

ED1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, law, commerce or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

→ EXPERIENCE:

EX1. Significant* experience providing guidance, advice, or recommendations to management** in at least one of the following areas: staffing, classification, performance management, HR planning, Values and Ethics or Harassment Prevention and Resolution.
EX2. Experience preparing briefing notes, case analysis, grievance reports or correspondence for senior management**.

*Significant experience refers to the complexity or sensitivity or diversity of HR issues handled and the level of autonomy demonstrated which is normally associated with the performance of the duties for at least two (2) years.
** Senior manager is defined as Director level and above.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

AEX1. Experience in providing advice and/or services in Labour Relations.
AEX2. Experience working in Corporate Labour relations.
