Intent of the process

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada and in the Federal Public Service with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), to staff positions with various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Education
• Completion of post-secondary education with a specialization in Mineral Processing, Science, Earth Sciences, Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Material Science or any other specialty related to the duties of the position; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience

EG-03
• A minimum of three months experience in laboratory work in inorganic chemistry or mineral processing
• A minimum of three months experience in preparing samples and equipment for analytical, experimental or investigative studies in the natural, physical, or applied sciences
• A minimum of three months laboratory experience working with chemicals
• A minimum of three months experience in collecting, compiling and analyzing data from experiments in accordance with established procedures, standards, and specifications

EG-04
• A minimum of two years experience in preparing samples and equipment for analytical, experimental or investigative studies in the natural, physical, or applied sciences
• A minimum of two years laboratory experience working with chemicals
• A minimum of two years experience in collecting, compiling and analyzing data from experiments in accordance with established procedures, standards, and specifications
• A minimum of two years experience in laboratory work in inorganic chemistry or mineral processing
