Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this repertory is to staff vacant positions.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures (determinate, indeterminate), various linguistic requirements, various security requirements and for various locations at Public Services and Procurement Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Post-secondary diploma from a recognized technical institute in a field related to the design and construction of real property works or marine structures or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

EXP-01: Significant and recent experience (Note 1) in providing technical and specialized advice on complex issues regarding systems relating to the component for which you are applying (mechanical, architectural or building electrical).

EXP-02: Significant and recent experience (Note 1) in carrying out technical surveys of the main and auxiliary systems relating to the component for which you are applying (mechanics, architect or building electricity).

EXP-03 - Significant and recent experience (Note 1) in providing technical and specialized advice on complex issues concerning systems relating to the stream for which you are applying (mechanical, architectural or building electrical).

Footnote 1:
“Recent” experience means approximately five (5) years within the last ten (10) years.

“Significant” experience means having experience relating to the complexity and variety of tasks demonstrated.

KNOWLEDGE:
KN-01-Knowledge of estimating methods relating to the stream for which you are applying (mechanical, architectural or building electrical).
KN-02- Knowledge of quality assurance principles relating to the stream for which you are applying (mechanical, architectural or building electrical).
KN-03: General knowledge of the codes and laws governing the discipline for which you are applying such as the national building code, electrical code, ASHRAE standards, etc.

ABILITIES:
AB-01: Ability to analyze information and data, define options and make recommendations related to the stream for which you are applying (mechanical, architect or building).
AB-02: Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.

AS-08: Experience in Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD), particularly with Autocad software.
AS-09: Design experience in electrical systems.
AS-10: Experience in Electrical Safety.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
OR-01: Be willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
OR-02: Be able and willing to travel to remote locations.
