Work environment

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (OCEO) is located at 30 Victoria Street, in the heart of downtown Gatineau. Our location is easily accessible and is located near Place du Portage and just a few kilometers away from downtown Ottawa.

Intent of the process

The immediate intention of this process is to staff 1 TERM position.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff positions at the same group and level or equivalent within Elections Canada with various linguistic profiles: English or French Essential, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB and CBC/CBC on a temporary or permanent basis.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in social science, statistics, library/archival work or a law-related field.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in conducting reference searches using print and online reference tools.
Experience in providing cataloguing services.
Experience in conducting interlibrary loans.
Experience in conducting and responding to reference requests for clients.
