Education
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Note:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. Experience
1. Experience working, developing, operating or supporting IM/IT solutions to meet business needs.

Stream A – Data Warehouse developer
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Experience working with ETL software (eg. Microsoft SSIS, IBM DataStage, Informatica) or Azure analytics services (e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse).
2. Experience with scripting languages such as SQL, Python.
ASSET CRITERIA
3. Experience working in Agile Scrum teams on projects and working in an environment using Agile software development methodology.
4. Experience in co-designing solutions with clients and in rapid-prototyping.
5. Experience developing dimensional data models
Stream B – Enterprise Data Management analyst
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
6. Experience working in data management or database management such as master data management, DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge, ETL processing, Enterprise Data Warehouse, data relationships, metadata management, governance catalog, data profiling or data quality.
7. Experience providing client services in the development of data management solutions and artefacts including identifying and analyzing current and future client needs.

8. Experience planning, coordinating or facilitating data steward working groups.
9. Experience supporting the development of data standards or policies.
10. Experience in actively participating in inter departmental working groups.
Stream C – Platform analyst
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
11. Experience supporting the development of technical documents such as: architectures, concepts of operations, designs, procedures, specifications reports or standards.
12. Experience with key platform elements such as network elements, security elements (e.g., firewalls), data center elements, database administration, application programing interfaces (API), code repositories (e.g., DevOps).
13. Experience supporting the deployment and configuration of Azure analytics services (e.g., Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse, Purview etc.).

14. Experience supporting the development of solution architectures.
15. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues of a Cloud platform.
Stream D – Data Science
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
16. Experience performing complex data exploitation on large volumes of data.
17. Experience in the creation and implementation of algorithms and statistical techniques.
18. Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
19. Experience with text analytics and natural language processing (NLP).
20. Experience in the design, creation, and implementation of graph analytics.
Stream E - Application Development (IBM Planning Analytics)
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
21. Experience in developing IBM Planning Analytics solutions with experience in using Rules, Feeders, Cubes, Dimensions and Turbo Integrator processes.
22. Experience in Data Modelling, Multi-Dimensional Analysis, ETL processes, SQL, data structures and data manipulation.
ASSET CRITERIA
23. Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as, but not limited to, design documents, deployment guidelines, test cases.
24. Experience with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
25. Experience in troubleshooting technical issues related to IBM Planning Analytics solutions.
Stream F – Cloud Application Development
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
26. Experience in designing, developing, and deploying software solutions in a corporate environment, with preference on cloud native applications.
27. Experience with modern programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, etc.
28. Experience in frontend software development using modern web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, React, etc.
29. Experience writing various types of automated tests (unit/integration/functional/performance).
30. Experience working with Relational DBs such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other large-scale RDBMS
31. Experience with test-driven development, agile practises, and Git workflows.
ASSET CRITERIA:
32. Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
33. Experience in administering, supporting or maintaining software solutions in MS Azure Cloud platforms such as: Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure SQL Databases.
34. Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as, but not limited to, design documents, deployment guidelines, test cases.
35. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
