Royal Military College Saint-Jean is located on the site of Fort Saint-Jean, a heritage site that has borne witness to the vast military history of the French and British Regimes as well as that of Canada.
The Royal Military College Saint-Jean (RMC Saint-Jean) is part of the re-focused Canadian Defence Academy (CDA), which continues to exist now as an 'education group' composed of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), the RMC Saint-Jean Saint-Jean, and the Canadian Forces College (CFC).The mission of Royal Military College Saint-Jean is to educate duly selected CAF members in order to instill them with the competencies required to maintain excellence in the profession of arms.
The purpose of this process is to fill several positions in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu for the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, one of the professional military training centers in Canada. Three determinate positions, currently being converted to indeterminate status are to be filled immediately and aim to support the creation of the new university program in "geopolitics and climate science" which will soon be offered at the Royal Military College of St-Jean:
✔ Assistant Professor in Physical Sciences (Atmospheric science, oceanography, glaciology, meteorology and other related fields)
✔Assistant Professor in Computer Science (Computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics and other related fields)
✔Assistant Professor in Climate Security
Please note that this process will be used to fill current and future vacancies with various employment mandates (temporary and permanent), linguistic profiles, security requirements and conditions of employment.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures, language profiles and security requirements within the Department of National Defence.
