👩‍💻STREAM 1: Senior Auditor
The Audit and Evaluation team is looking for individuals who:
• Enjoy conceptualizing and developing internal audit engagement plans for low to moderate complexity audits;
• Like to research, analyze, and assess risks while conducting research into a variety of governance, risk assessment and internal control issues consistent with established internal audit policies, standards, and practices;
• Thrive in the collection, analysis, and synthetization of data, compilation of information, and in developing evidence-based recommendations and conclusions;
• Take pride in conducting audit interviews, compiling meeting notes and summarizing supporting evidence to create a cohesive set of key audit findings; and
• Are comfortable assigning work to other junior internal audit team members while overseeing the timeliness and quality of the deliverables.

👩‍💻STREAM 2: Professional Practices Officer
Who wants to audit the auditors? The Audit and Evaluation Branch is looking for individuals interested in joining its Professional Practice Unit who:
• Like to lead a range of internal audit practice management activities, including quality assurance of internal audit products;
• Enjoy developing policies, practices, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency of audit management with the Treasury Board of Canada’s Internal Audit Policy Suite and Institute of Internal Auditors International Professional Practices Framework;
• Want to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of best practices, new methodologies, technologies, trends and tools to improve the quality of practice management reviews and activities;
• Enjoy organizational planning and reporting requirements and developing responses to requests from the Office of the Comptroller General and external assurance providers; and
• Want to participate in the development and implementation of the Risk-Based Audit Plan.

EDUCATION
ED1: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

EXPERIENCE
Streams 1 and 2:
EX1: Experience developing methodology and practices for audit or quality assurance activities.

Stream 1 only:
EX2: Experience using audit software such as, but not limited to, TeamMate.
EX3: Recent* and significant** experience conducting all major phases of audit engagement (planning, examination and reporting).
EX4: Recent* and significant** experience developing major sections of audit reports, including developing audit findings, conclusions and recommendations.

Stream 2 only:
EX5: Experience liaising with internal or external stakeholders.
EX6: Experience in participating in the conduct of internal and/or external audits.

NOTE (*) :
* Recent is defined as experience obtained within the past five (5) years.
** Significant experience is defined as having obtained a diverse range of experience normally acquired over a minimum of two (2) years.
