Intent of the process

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada and in the Federal Public Service with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), to staff positions with various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Science, Earth Sciences, Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Material Science or any other specialty related to the duties of the position.

Or

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mineral processing engineering, mining engineering, civil engineering or geological engineering, or other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

PC-02and PC-03
Experience in analytical laboratory experiments, as applied to minerals research
Experience in preparing reports relevant to the duties of the position
Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating scientific research projects

PC-03
Experience in leading projects to solve scientific challenges

EN-ENG-02
Experience in carrying out experiments, trials, tests and analytical/modeling studies related to mineral processing and/or metallurgical flowsheets
Experience in preparing, reviewing or evaluating technical studies, reports, proposals and presentations

EN-ENG-03
A minimum of two years of engineering experience in a research setting
Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating scientific research projects
Experience in laboratory experiments, as applied to mineral processing or hydrometallurgical research
Experience in preparing reports relevant to the duties of the position
