The work will consist in planning and preparing animal nutrition experiments and data collection, conducting field surveys and visits to farms or project partners, processing and analyzing data, and writing scientific reports and articles.
This work is part of a research program that analyzes alternative production systems in a mixed crop and livestock operation. In particular, the internship is part of a research project on the use of alternative feed sources for pigs. The student will be based at the Research and Development Centre in Sherbrooke (QC). The student will be supervised by a researcher, a professional and a research assistant.

Education:
Currently enrolled or will be enrolled by the date of appointment in a Master’s program with a specialization in Animal Science.
Note: Must be currently recognized as having full-time student status in the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled, pending approval of acceptance or in the process of submitting your application. Proof of enrollment will be required prior to start date and must be returning to full-time studies for your next academic term.
Experience:
Experience* in using the Microsoft Office suite (including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point) for drafting, data manipulation and presentation of information.
Experience* in data collection and analysis.
Experience* in project management.
*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
