This process has been designed to have four different job streams in one advertisement. There are merit criteria specific to each stream; please review them carefully.

➜ Stream 1 – Motor Vehicle Coordinator (PG-01)
Manages a fleet of vehicles located at one or multiple sites. Ensures that vehicles are available and ready to be assigned as requested by clients and that preventative and required maintenance is carried out on vehicles in the fleet.
➜ Stream 2 – Regional Assets Officer (PG-02)
Plans, develops and implements the regional assets management program to ensure effective and efficient utilization, accountability and disposal of departmental moveable assets.
➜ Stream 3 – Regional Vehicle Fleet Manager (PG-02)
Manages a fleet of vehicles, including life cycle management. Documents, monitors and analyzes vehicle activities in the region as well as provides justification for the fleet configuration, addition or decrease in size and emergency requirements.
➜ Stream 4 – Regional Warehouse Supervisor (PG-02)
Oversees the general operations of a warehouse and supervises the staff. Organizes and maintains the inventory and the storage area. Trains new employees to follow established procedures and to maintain a safe work environment. Provides advice on asset movement and disposals.
The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to be used to staff these or similar positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada. This process may be used to staff various tenures, including indeterminate, specified period (term), deployment, assignment, secondment, and acting.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION (ALL STREAMS)
ED1. A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives*.
* The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
ALL STREAMS:
EX1: Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
STREAM 1:
EX2: Experience in providing advice, guidance, or information to clients.
STREAM 2 & STREAM 3:
EX3: Experience using a computerized inventory or asset tracking system, such as Oracle Financial Systems/SAP, Maximo/Cognos, or Microsoft Excel in a work environment.
EX4: Experience providing advice, guidance, and recommendations to clients.
STREAM 4:
EX5: Experience working in a warehouse, shipping and receiving environment, or distribution centre.
EX6: Experience using a computerized inventory or asset tracking system, such as Oracle Financial Systems/SAP, Maximo/Cognos, or Microsoft Excel in a work environment.
EX7: Experience supervising staff for a minimum of six (6) months.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION (All Streams):
AED: Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a diploma or degree in commerce, purchasing, facility management, business administration, supply chain management, or another related field.
EXPERIENCE
STREAM 1:
AEX1: Significant experience* in the management of a fleet of vehicles.
STREAM 2 and STREAM 3:
AEX2: Experience in one of the four (4) phases of the life cycle of materiel management:
1. Analysing and planning,
2. Acquiring,
3. Operating, using, and maintaining, or
4. Disposing or replacing.
AEX3: Experience supervising staff for a minimum of 6 months.
AEX4: Experience in assets management, supply chain management, or vehicle fleet management.
AEX5: Significant experience* in the management of materiel.
STREAM 4:
AEX6: Experience in hazardous material management.
AEX7: Significant experience* in the management of materiel.
*Significant experience means a minimum of one (1) year.
