At the Canada Border Services Agency, our real property management or materiel management employees manage a very large and diverse portfolio that spans across Canada. They act as subject matter experts and work in a dynamic operating environment. Our teams supply millions of dollars in real estate services and goods each year. Our services support important programs, such as fleet renewal; maintenance, renovation and replacement of land border ports of entry; the realization of office space accommodation projects, and also the realization of projects in legislated facilities (airports, wharfs/docks, international toll bridges and tunnels and railways).
The Canada Border Services Agency is actively looking for professional, passionate and motivated individuals who have experience in materiel management or in the management of infrastructure or office space projects. As a member of our teams, you will be involved in the development and delivery of projects. You will be called upon to collaborate with multiple stakeholders inside and outside the Government of Canada. You will work within teams responsible for the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of real property projects or materiel management activities.
If you qualify in this selection process, you will be placed in a pool of candidates accessible to all CBSA hiring managers.
This process may be used to staff identical or similar positions in CBSA on a bilingual non-imperative basis should no qualified candidate meet the required language profile.

EXP2: One year of experience in the last five years in gathering information, analyzing options, and identifying solutions.
EXP3: One year of experience providing functional advice and guidance to clients.

ASSET EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
ED: Diploma or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the position such as: property management, public administration, business administration, business management, engineering, architecture, interior design, urban planning or building technology.
ACERT: Project Management Certification
ASSET EXPERIENCES (for all streams)
AEXP1: One year of experience monitoring and tracking project financials.
AEXP2: One year of experience developing and writing project management documents, schedule, activity trackers or financial spreadsheets.
AEXP3: One year of experience receiving and analyzing vendor proposals.
AEXP4: One year of experience with life cycle management of assets.
AEXP5: One year of experience working with a real property contract, including quality monitoring, and tracking performance.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willing and able to work overtime, often on short notice.
- Willing and able to undertake job-related travel, including by plane, for periods of one week; and under potentially difficult conditions. Travels may be either within Canada and/or the United States.
- The official location of the positions to be filled is various CBSA offices across the country. At this time, the work performed by the incumbent to this position requires a minimum of two (2) days a week in the office and can be done through a hybrid combination of onsite and remote work with agreement between the manager and the employee.
- Willing and able to carry and use a telecommunication device during and outside of regular work hours.
