If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.

Assessment accommodation

Only the applications submitted via the GC Jobs Website will be considered as part of this appointment process. All requests presented otherwise (ex: fax, email, mail) will not be accepted.

When submitting your application to this selection process, you will be prompted to answer screening questions concerning the education and experiences requirements listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications section. It is your responsibility to provide clear and concrete examples in your responses to each question. It is recommended that you describe the experience examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand. Describe the situation/task, how, when and where you acquired these experiences by giving examples. Content of your response must be supported by your CV/resume as your responses to these questions will be used as a primary source of information and your CV/resume will only be used to validate this information. Should you indicate in your response "please refer to CV/resume" your application will be rejected. Lack of examples and details will result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine if the requirement is met.

Duties

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing client needs, initiating and processing contract and procurement requests. You will contribute to the provision of contracting services and, for this purpose, you will review options and participate in the establishment of contracts for goods, services or construction work related to the contracted purchases.

▶ Flexible work arrangements:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, federal employees demonstrated their ability to adapt to new ways of working both on-site and remotely, while delivering results for Canadians. We have therefore built on this experience and the Canadian Space Agency will adopt a hybrid and flexible work style as an integral part of its work environment.
Depending on the nature of the work required by the position and the operational needs, hybrid and flexible work arrangements, such as a combination of on-site and telework and compressed work schedules, are possible. Following the latest direction from the Treasury Board Secretariat, the Canadian Space Agency will be adopting a hybrid work model that will see employees working on-site at least two days per week, or 40% of their normal schedule.

▶ Please note that the positions are located at the following address:
John H. Chapman Space Center, 6767, Route de l'Aéroport, Saint-Hubert, Quebec, J3Y 8Y9

We look forward to welcoming you to the team!
