ARE YOU READY?
No more endless processes! The ATSSC aims to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates by the end of May! But what does that imply?

- Four (4) screening questions and six (6) Yes/No questions;
- A written exam integrated into this application with 3 questions; and
- No formal interview or reference check *.

The pool will be established immediately after the correction of your application and the evaluation of your second language skills for the reading comprehension and written expression. Ready, set, go!

Intent of the process

The intent of this advertisement is to staff five (5) positions on an indeterminate basis.

A partially assessed pool will be created and may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements, tenures, locations or security level within the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC). Federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to appoint a candidate to a similar position within their organization.

* IMPORTANT: Please note that the second language skills ''Reading comprehension'' and ''Written expression'' will be assessed before the creation of the pool. Obtaining a level B in these two skills will be required to be qualified in the pool.

EDUCATION

ED1: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

EX1: Experience in interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies, or procedures.
EX2: Experience in reviewing, drafting, and formatting various types of documents.
EX3: Experience in providing administrative or registry services in a quasi-judicial, judicial, or legal environment, such as a tribunal, court, commission, board, law firm or notary office.

ABILITIES

A1: Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
A2: Ability to plan and organize work, to set priorities and to meet deadlines.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
The following criteria are asset qualifications. You will not be screened out of the selection process should you answer ''No''.

AED1: Successful completion of a post-secondary education program with specialization in legal assistant, legal or paralegal techniques, law, industrial relations, administration, social science, or any another field related to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience..

AEX1: Experience performing duties of a court registrar during judicial proceedings.
AEX2: Experience in the use of an information or file management system, such as GCDocs, IRIMS, EDRM, SharePoint or Live Link.
AEX3: Experience working in a call centre.
AEX4: Experience in conducting research and providing recommendations.
AEX5: Experience working with a case management system.

Degree equivalency

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Willingness to work overtime often on short notice.
Willingness to travel for hearings where necessary.
