Duties

The positions being staffed are responsible for providing administrative support to various units within the Yellowknife headquarters building. Some of the units include staffing and training, informatics, federal policing and criminal operations.

Work environment

For every successful police operation, there is a team of civilian employees providing administrative support in order to help police officers and investigators to accomplish their mandate. By hiring the best candidates to staff our civilian positions, we are helping police officers accomplish their law and order enforcement mandate.

Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff future permanent and/or temporary vacancies within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Yellowknife, NT.

If you don’t immediately receive a job offer at RCMP, qualified candidates may be placed in a talent pool to be used for staffing similar permanent or temporary positions in the future. The skill specialization(s), work location, language profile, and security clearance requirements will vary according to the position being staffed.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.
