👔 We’re looking for a digital communications expert to join our communications team and help chart the course for an engaging and informative digital presence. You will contribute your creative ideas while working with a team of professionals who take pride in the work they are doing to improve the lives of Canadians.

✨ With the transition to a hybrid model, employees work on-site at least two (2) days per week or 40% of their work week. An onsite day is not limited to a designated Infrastructure location, but may include a GC co-working site, a conference or business event, in-person training, stakeholder meetings, etc.

The intent of this selection process is to appoint candidates who are successful in the pool at the IS-03 group and level as vacancies arise within the Communications Branch at Infrastructure Canada.

🎓 EDUCATION
ED1: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

NOTE:
1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

2. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

Degree equivalency

📝 EXPERIENCE
EX1: Experience providing communications advice.
EX2: Experience in developing and/or publishing various types of content (social media messaging, web content or layout, creative design) on digital communications platforms.

AEX1: Experience in developing content and developing and implementing strategies and tactics related to social media .
AEX2: Experience in researching, writing and/or editing a wide range of communications products according to best practices in either official language.
AEX3: Experience in using social media planning and reporting tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)
AEX4: Experience in html coding according to WCAG 2.0 standards for Government of Canada websites.
AEX5: Experience using web creation software such as Dreamweaver or graphic design/video software such as Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
AEX6: Experience in reviewing and/or editing content.
