EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Notes:
1.Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CO group on June 21, 2021, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CO group.
2.At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, that is comparable to a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the work to be performed, may serve as an alternative to meet the minimum education standard. Whenever the minimum education standard is met through this alternative, it is met only for the position being staffed, and candidates must be re-assessed for future appointments or deployments where the manager has decided to use this alternative.
EXPERIENCE
EX1- Experience in leading economic development projects and/or programs.
EX2- Experience in developing and providing advice on complex* matters.
EX3- Experience in building and cultivating effective and reciprocal networks and collaborations.
EX4- Experience in managing human and financial resources.
*Complex is defined as referring to at least one (1) of the following characteristics: involving multiple partners or stakeholders, impacting a community/organization/economic sector, having a potential for a significant economic regional community economic outcome, or other similar characteristics.
ASSET EDUCATION
AE1 - Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in economics, business/commerce, or a related field.
AE2 - A recognized professional accounting designation.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1- Experience working with indigenous communities, businesses and stakeholders.
AEX2- Experience in regional economic development.
AEX3- Experience in engaging with stakeholder groups that support the economic inclusion of equity seeking groups (e.g., Indigenous Peoples, Black or Racialized Persons, Persons with Disabilities, 2SLGBTQIA+, Women) and/or rural and remote communities.

Depending on the number of applicants, department needs and HR plans, volume management strategies such as random selection, top-down approach, and/or cut-off scores MAY be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates.
