Scope
Are you an experienced business analyst looking to make a meaningful contribution and lend your expertise to help shape business transformation? We are currently hiring for an IT Business Analyst who will partner with a variety of stakeholders, ranging from uniformed members, the general public, support staff, developers, and more! Enabling strategic organizational change through the delivery of IM/IT projects that ultimately make our homes and communities safer.
As a member of the business solutions team, you will:
• Engage a broad set of stakeholders and collaborate with all levels of the organization
• Direct the development of business and system requirements through detailed analysis and recommendations
• Work with business units to analyze and design potential solutions and communicate proposed recommendations
• Obtain consensus from all stakeholders and assist with resolving conflict to achieve a common goal
• Work closely with solution teams to provide all system requirements and produce the high-level design
• Hold requirements gathering sessions by identifying the right participants, preparing the appropriate material, reviewing the project scope, and identifying key assumptions

The intent of this process is to staff a number of temporary positions.
A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future temporary vacancies in similar -level positions.

Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Interested persons must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to the position, in a manner determined by the Selection Board. A person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of 12 months and may be extended.
Please note that within the context of this selection process, travel costs/expenses will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.

If a qualified candidate has been selected and appointed on an indeterminate basis from the established pool, they will be removed from the pool. If a candidate is selected for a specified period (including term, acting, or assignment/secondment) appointment, they will remain in the pool for future offers.
This process and the resulting pool will only be used to staff positions in the RCMP.
Any information provided by a candidate through their application or assessment that is deemed to be incorrect or fraudulent will be eliminated from further consideration.
