CSC Maintenance Specialists task include but are not limited to:
• Managing CMMS-driven preventive maintenance program, repairs & maintenance activities, asset registry and inventory
• Producing reports

CSC Ontario Region is seeking motivated and organized individuals to work in our correctional facilities’ maintenance department(s)

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Recent and significant* experience providing facility maintenance services in an institutional setting (example: prison, hospital, school, etc).
Experience developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program.
Experience providing advice and guidance to management to facilitate planning, managing and leading facilities management projects.
Experience in using Microsoft Office Software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Recent and significant is defined as 2 years in the last 5 years
EDUCATION
Graduation with a college diploma in engineering technology of another discipline related to the position.
Graduation with a degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Applicable provincial certification required to perform the duties of the position.
A certificate of qualification in a trade associated with facilities maintenance.
EXPERIENCE
Experience interpreting architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings, work orders, specifications and manufacturers data.
Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance program.
Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
Experience developing requests for project proposals.
Experience providing fleet management support services.
Experience in use, management, implementation and programming of Building Automation System.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to travel to various locations
Willingness to work in a federal correctional setting with occasional proximity of offenders
Must be able to periodically work at heights or in confined space within the provincial and federal Health and Safety regulations
Must have a valid driver license
Reliability security clearance
Must be able to work and lift tools and equipment at the maximum level prescribed under provincial and federal health and safety regulations.
Must be able to respond to urgencies as required due to facilities operating 24/7.
