As announced by the Treasury Board of Canada, Indigenous Services Canada employees are expected to perform their duties from a government of Canada physical workplace at least 2–3 days each week, or 40–60% of their regular schedule. A phased introduction is underway with full implementation by March 31, 2023.
The Information Management Specialist performs the implementation and monitoring of classification plans and retention schedules, verifies and analyzes the content of records and documents for classification purposes, and performs data quality and compliance monitoring for legal, regulatory and administrative requirements. In addition, working as specialist gives you the opportunity to participate in testing national and regional systems, analyze requirements, provide advice and training to internal clients. Finally, the specialist supports the Information Management Team
Leader in performing other related tasks.

📌 Workplace:
The positions to be filled are located in Quebec City (320 St-Joseph Street East) and Montreal (200, René-Lévesque Blvd West). Successful candidates will be required to work at the work site in a hybrid work mode. A part-time telework agreement may be discussed and implemented at the time of hiring in accordance with the operational needs of the position to be filled.
This process is aimed to fill an indeterminate and a term position located in Quebec City and a term position located in Montréal. All the positions have the following language requirement: Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB.
A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff the same or similar positions at Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Aboriginal Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, that may vary in duration, language profiles, operational requirements or security requirements.

A diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in documentation, archival, library or other information management related to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the use of an electronic document management system.
Experience in classifying and indexing electronic and paper files.
Experience in providing client service.

Applications that are retained are those that provide information in the prescreening questionnaire that demonstrate meeting the essential education and experience. You must provide your education level and the institution where you attained this level, and concrete examples on how you meet the essential experience and the period of time these experiences were acquired. Preselection questions will assess the essential experience as well as the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Candidates are also asked to confirm and provide examples on any of the asset criteria they meet.
You will be assessed to ensure that you meet the qualifications of the positions to fill.
