While working in an administrative position at the Public Service Pay Centre, your duties could include the following:
β’ Fielding telephone, e-mail and written inquiries from public service employees and other stakeholders seeking information on their pay and benefits provisions;
β’ Coordinating administrative requirements for the scheduling of internal or external meetings and assisting in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations;
β’ Entering basic data in departmental records systems;
β’ Assisting clients and others on the use of websites and with locating help in other branch services and the broader public service;
β’ Filing, retrieving and disposing of information within existing classification structure;
β’ Creating new files;
β’ Coordinating and controlling the receipt and distribution of incoming documents; and
β’ Assisting the unit in workload management through the revision, tracking and preparation of all requests in the assigned unit.
π’Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and until further notice, our team is currently working remotely.
Once a date for a return to the workplace is established, a flexible hybrid work approach will be undertaken, where a combination of on-site work and telework (i.e.remote work) will be implemented. Employees who will be teleworking will need to be able to travel to the work site when needed at their own expense.

EDUCATION:
πππ. High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
ππ. Experience in the use of eΜ²aΜ²cΜ²hΜ² of the following: word processing (for example, MS Word), spreadsheet (for example, Excel) and email software (for example, Outlook).
ππ. Experience in providing *administrative support services, OR Experience in dealing with individuals in a client service environment.

Administrative support services is defined as, but not limited to: preparing various types of documentation, answering inquiries and providing information as required, data entry, performing reception duties, mail duties, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, making copies, sending and receiving correspondence, and/or performing a variety of other office tasks.
