Secondary school diploma and the completion of the Industrial Mechanics Millwright certificate of qualification exam (a passing grade required).
Occupational Certification
Industrial Mechanic Millwright certificate of qualification.
Experience (experience should be defined as 3-5 years)
- Experience installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing industrial machines
- Experience in working with pumps, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience in basic welding and fabricating
- Experience in basic machine tool operation
- Experience in maintaining and servicing machine tools (mills, lathes, surface grinders)
- Experience in servicing CNC machine tools (CNC mills, lathes)
- Experience providing service for external clients
- Experience using basic hand tools (drills, saws, grinders)
English or French
Information on language requirements
Knowledge
- Knowledge of troubleshooting machine tools
- Knowledge of troubleshooting in manufacturing
- Knowledge of sourcing and purchasing materials and tooling
- Knowledge of Industrial safety practices
