Successful candidates will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment located in the Pacific Region and will manage multimillion dollar real property projects such as;
• Sinclair Centre Redevelopment Project which will likely be delivered through a Public-Private-Partnership methodology
• Highways, secure facilities, laboratories, Esquimalt Graving Dock, contaminated sites etc.

The intent of the process is to initially staff 2 indeterminate/permanent positions for the Sinclair Centre redevelopment project. This project will focus on enhancing heritage, on sustainability and Urban Integration. The results of this process may also be used to staff same or similar positions for future vacancies of various tenures, and could require different security clearances within Public Service and Procurement Canada in the Pacific Region.

Occupational Certification:
• Registered as a professional engineer in Canada or as a Professional Architect in Canada.
Experience:
• *Significant experience in managing complex **real property projects.
• Experience in managing projects involving new construction, renovation or repair of real property infrastructure.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a real property environment.
*Significant experience will be evaluated based on the performance of complex activities in a wide variety of situations over an extended period of time.
** Real property projects are defined as new construction, renovations, remediation for buildings, structures, improvements, and other utilities on, above, or below the surface of the land.

Abilities:

Asset Qualifications:
• Experience in managing multi-discipline real property projects with high degrees of complexity and with special focus on Public Private Partnerships (P3) or alternative project delivery such as Design-Build (DB), Design-Build-Finance (DBF), Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM).
• Experience in financing, insurances, progress payments on alternative form of delivery projects.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder, high profile (i.e. characterized by exceptional public visibility, media attention, political sensitivity, relative importance, critical schedule, etc.), major accommodation and real property projects with large project teams and numerous tenants with varying requirements.
• Experience incorporating and advancing sustainability objectives and targets (e.g., LEED Platinum and Gold, carbon neutrality, green technology)
• Experience managing projects with a heritage component.
• Experience working with Indigenous groups in real property projects.
• Experience managing projects related to highway or bridge infrastructure.
• Experience managing projects in a heavy civil/marine or industrial environment.
• Experience managing projects in a secure facility environment, such as prisons or border crossings.
• Experience managing office or special-purpose building projects, such as fit-up, major renovations or new construction.

• Willingness and ability, in the future, to undergo and maintain additional security clearance such as; secret and secret enhance, in order to meet government and clients’ needs.
