The immediate intent of this job advertisement is to staff one bilingual position indeterminately in Ottawa, however, a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) will be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements. The minimum standard is:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
Experience:
EE1. Recent* and significant** experience in leading teams in an operational environment, such as emergency response (including first responder or military operations).
EE2. Recent* and significant ** experience in providing advice and preparation of briefing notes, issues papers and reports for senior management***
*Recent experience is defined as within the previous 5 years
**Significant experience is defined as 2+ years
***Senior management is defined as EX-01 or equivalent, and above
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AE1.Significant** experience working in operations centres or coordination centres
AE2.Significant** experience in management of human resources and finance
AE3.Recent* and significant** experience in developing operational or project plans
