The intent is to staff two (2) positions on an indeterminate basis at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC). A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various linguistic profiles as well as tenures (term or indeterminate), location across Canada and/or security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
NOTE
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in leading, planning or carrying out complex* projects.
Experience in serving as a subject matter expert and advising management (manager or director) by providing analysis and recommendations on policy files.
Experience in preparing briefing notes, reports or presentations.
* Complex projects are defined as requiring input, expertise and analysis from across multiple sectors, organizations or disciplines.
EDUCATION:
Completion of a Master’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in sociology, economics, statistics or another related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience with respect to corporate planning, results reporting or performance measurement, such as the Departmental Results Framework, Departmental Plan, Departmental Results Report, Mandate Letter Tracking or Stock Takes.
Experience with the preparation of comprehensive documents such as: statistical surveys, qualitative and quantitative studies, research reports, position papers, strategic plans, planning documents, Memoranda to Cabinet, Treasury Board submissions or evaluation reports.
Experience in developing working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting quantitative and/or qualitative data.
Various language requirements
The positions to staff are Bilingual BBB/BBB and English or French essential. However, the pool could be used to staff positions with various language requirements*: Bilingual CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC.
*In exceptional circumstances, Bilingual non-imperative appointments (with various levels) may be approved.
