EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in entomology, agriculture, biology, ecology, environmental science or a related program; OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
Experience managing research projects, designing experiments, developing project plans or developing methodologies/tools.
Experience in operating basic and complex lab instruments.
Experience in conducting insect bioassays, field surveys, rearing or evaluating insect control products in the field.
Experience collecting and performing analysis on samples.
EDUCATION - ASSET
Completion of an MSc degree from a post-secondary institution in entomology, agriculture, biology, ecology, environmental science or a related program.
EXPERIENCE - ASSET
Experience rearing arthropods other than insects and conducting bioassays and field surveys for other arthropods.
Experience in biological data manipulation and summary in tables and graphs.
Experience in application of insecticides or miticides.
Experience in insect taxonomy and dissection.
Experience in molecular biology, including sample preparation and conducting PCR.
Experience with plant growth and maintenance.

Possession of a valid, class G Ontario driver’s license or other provincial/territorial equivalency.
