In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

- The candidate must possess by the start date (May 2023) a BSc in Biology, Environmental Science, Geochemistry, , Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related fields at University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and meet the requirements for enrolment in the MSc Natural Resources and Environmental Studies program at UNBC and be willing to enroll in that program.
- Must have taken prior courses in Microbiology/Molecular Biology

Degree equivalency

- Co-op experience
- Experience with DNA extraction, amplification and quantification in preparation for DNA sequencing is essential.
- Experience in designing and conducting laboratory/greenhouse research projects is strongly desired

Note: In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the
studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.

- Bioinformatics and statistics skills for microbial community analysis
